WPD: Unidentified man's body found in Arkansas River
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A man's body was found in the Arkansas River on Saturday afternoon following a report of a submersion.
The Wichita Police Department says just after 1 p.m. Saturday, crews responded to the report of a body found in the Arkansas River near the Lincoln Street Bridge. Upon arrival, a man's body was found deceased in the river.
WPD says no approximate age or identification is known at this time. While there was no visible trauma to the body, police say they do not know how long the body had been in the river.
The coroner's office is investigating.
