WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Two thousand Wichita middle and high school JROTC cadets filled Exposition Hall at Century II on Thursday to pay tribute to veterans.

The annual pass-in-review ceremony allows the nations' veterans to be recognized for their contributions to the country.

Cadet Jace Arellano said, "I feel like a lot of veterans are under-appreciated and they've been neglected a lot by certain organizations and entities and I think that we should be doing better at ensuring that our veterans are taken care of."

Thursday’s ceremony included keynote speakers, music by the Southeast High Orchestra and songs from the Southeast High Madrigals.

The event also included “Taps” by Mr. John Noonan and Mr. Don Hansen.
