WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Wichita Police Department says they are investigating a stabbing of a man in south Wichita on Sunday.

Police say on Sunday at 4:17 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 1800 S. Broadway for a stabbing call. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the victim, who had sustained two stab wounds. The injured individual was transported to a local area hospital for medical attention. The victim's injuries were non-life threatening.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a disturbance took place in the parking lot, which involved the victim and the suspect. This altercation resulted in the victim being stabbed twice. 


WPD investigators say they are pursuing promising leads in this ongoing investigation.
