One man hurt in Sunday morning east Wichita shooting
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE)- A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in east Wichita Sunday morning.
Just after 2 a.m., Wichita Police officers responded to the call of a shooting in the 4900 block of East Central and discovered a male that been shot.
Initially, the individual's injury was reported as critical, but authorities have since said the injury is non life-threatening.
"The investigation seems to be very complicated in its infancy. There are no suspects as of yet and no resolution to this case yet," Sgt. Ted Naldoza with the Wichita Police Department said Sunday.
The male has one gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital.
No other information has been made available.
