WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The driver of the Cadillac involved in a head-on crash on Wednesday has died.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the driver who suffered serious injuries in the crash has died.

The crash happened on Pawnee between Oliver and Woodlawn. Investigators say three people went to the hospital after a speeding car hit a truck head-on. A sheriff's deputy saw the whole thing. Investigators said the car was speeding at nearly 80 miles an hour.

The identity of the driver has has not yet been released.
