Derby shooting that killed 2 ruled to be murder-suicide
DERBY, Kan. (KAKE) - Two people were found dead in a murder-suicide at a Derby home early Monday morning, the Derby Police Department says.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. Monday when police responded to 1500 E McClelland Dr. for a report of gun shots. When police arrived, they heard another gunshot inside the home. Officers went inside and found a 51-year-old female and a 47-year-old male dead.
Police say all evidence points to this being a murder-suicide.
The bodies were sent to the Sedgwick County Coroner's office for autopsies. No names have been released.
