Several hurt in accident between police cruiser and pickup

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 2-vehicle accident involving a pickup in downtown Wichita has injured several people, one seriously.
The crash between a pickup truck and a Wichita Police cruiser happened just after 12:30 p.m. at the off-ramp from Kellogg to Main St.
Police were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle, but the driver refused to stop. A short pursuit followed. During the pursuit, a pickup truck not involved in the chase collided with the WPD cruiser.
Three people were in the pickup and sustained minor injuries. The police officer was transporter to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.
