GRAND LAKE, OK. (KAKE/KTUL) - A man from Wichita has drowned after falling from his boat into Grand Lake in Oklahoma.

The 47-year-old man was operating a 1979 Mastercraft when he fell from the boat Saturday, according to witnesses. He did not resurface.

Justin Alberty, Grand River Dam Authority spokesman, says that witnesses indicated that the boat "appeared to hit the occupant after he went into the water."

Officials with the Grand River Dam Authority Police Department found the man at approximately 7:30 a.m. Sunday in approximately 7 feet of water.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
