WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A man and woman suffered critical injuries Thursday morning when a car and semi collided in north Wichita. 

The crash happened at around 9:15 a.m. on Broadway at 33rd Street North. Sgt. David Inkelaar with the Wichita Police Department said a passenger car was southbound and the semi was pulling out onto Broadway.

A man and woman in the car were hospitalized in critical condition. The semi driver was not hurt. 

Sgt. Inkelaar said the crash remains under investigation and that the intersection could be closed until late morning.
