WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 29-year-old man wanted for murder in New Mexico has been arrested in Wichita. 

Sedgwick County records show Francisco Grado-Flores was arrested in the 1600 block of Richmond, southwest of Harry and Meridian. He was booked into jail on a fugitive from justice warrant at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to KOAT, Grado-Flores is wanted in connection to the shooting death of 27-year-old Raul Rene Montejano and wounding of a 56-year-old woman in Santa Fe on Monday. He's charged with murder and tampering with evidence. 

Grado-Flores had a head injury after Montejano hit him with a baseball bat. When he was located in Wichita, he told police he had been injured in a fight.

"The Santa Fe Police Department thanks the Wichita Police Department for their quick response and help in apprehending Mr. Grado-Flores," Santa Fe police said on Facebook.
