PARK CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - Park City police say a man was shot and killed after entering a home and threatening one of its occupants early Saturday morning.

Officers responded at around 2:25 a.m. Saturday to a shooting in the 1700 block of East 69th Ct North. The department said in a release that police arrived to find David Pomeroy who had been shot. EMS transported him to a local hospital where he later died.

"A preliminary investigation indicated that Pomeroy had entered the residence without permission and threatened at least one of the occupants before he was shot by one of the occupants," the release said.

Police did not provide any additional case information, citing the active investigation.

No arrests had been announced as of Monday morning. The Park City Police Department said it would consult with the Sedgwick County district attorney's office regarding whether any charged will be filed.
