Former Wichita Police Department secretary gets probation for leaking confidential information

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A former Wichita Police Department secretary has been sentenced to probation for leaking confidential information to a family member.
Judge Chrystal Krier sentenced Mia Turner to 18 months of probation after she pleaded guilty to a felony charge of computer crime.
The 51-year-old was accused of providing information about an active investigation to a person she’s related to through marriage.
Turner was placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation. WPD has since confirmed that she no longer works for the department.
