STILLWATER, Ok. (KAKE) - The Wichita State Shockers have been eliminated by the Nebraska Huskers after nine innings at Cowgirls Stadium.

Wichita State led Huskers 6-3 at the bottom of the seventh and 8-6 in the bottom of the ninth. The Huskers responded with three home runs and 13 hits and took home a 9-8 victory over the Shockers.

"This team just kept coming," Nebraska coach Rhonda Revelle said. "Wichita State kept coming. I don't feel like one team lost. Nobody gave in. We just happened to score the last run."

"We just couldn't seem to get any luck," said Wichita State coach Kristi Bredbenner. "They had a really great approach at the plate. They jumped on every pitch that we put a little bit too much on the plate. We did the same thing. We just didn't do it enough."
