Floor jack hits woman in head on Kansas Turnpike

WELLINGTON, Kan. (KAKE) - The Kansas Turnpike Authority says a woman who was in a car accident on Thursday was hit in the head by a floor jack after she stopped under an overpass.
It happened at around 6:45 p.m. on I-30 near mile marker 13, which is south of Wellington. The KTA reports the 43-year-old Wichita woman believes her rear tire had failed and caused her to strike the barrier wall. After stopping under an over pass, "a floor jack in the area" of her car came forward and struck her in the back of the head.
The woman's injury was minor. The Kansas Highway Patrol crash log does not indicate that she was taken to the hospital.
