Dog still waiting for forever family after 4 years at animal shelter

Donatello (Woodford Humane Society)
WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (KAKE) - A pit bull has been at a Kentucky animal shelter for years, waiting for someone to come adopt him. Staff hope to send him to his forever home this week.
Donatello has been at the Woodford Humane Society for four years as of Friday. His tenure is the longest in the shelter's 48-year history.
In a video post on its Facebook page, the humane society said Donatello is 5 1/2 years old and is only able to be adopted into a home with older kids and no other pets.
"He loves kids of all ages, but as you can see he's very good at knocking people over while zooming," the post says.
The Woodford Humane Society told KAKE News Monday morning that several potential adopters have scheduled appointments to meet Donatello.
