Man dies following crash in southeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A man in his 50s has died after his car hit a tree in southeast Wichita on Tuesday.
Lt. Tim Forshee with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said 911 got a call at around 6: 30 a.m. regarding a possible injury accident on Webb Road near 31st Street South. Witnesses said a car had gradually veered off the road and struck a tree.
The driver died at the scene. Lt. Forshee did not release his name but said he lived south of where the accident happened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors.
