TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WVTM/CNN Newsource) — High honors are in order for one 16-year-old from Tuscaloosa. LeAnna Roberts will be graduating from the University of Alabama next with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Roberts has been on a path of excellence for quite some time. Two years ago, she graduated the same year from high school and community college before enrolling at UA the same year. LeAnna's schedule was often rigorous but she didn't let it deter her from what she loves so deeply.

Although 16, age is just a number to LeAnna. It's something she doesn't let define her because learning is something she enjoys. Not too many know how old she is.

"The name of the game has definitely been balance," LeAnna explained. "Balancing extracurricular activities, as well as remaining vigilant in the classroom, has helped me succeed so far.

She's on the pre-med track. One day, the teen hopes to practice orthopedics. LeAnna is preparing to take the Medical College Admission Test next month. She has already started taking graduate-level courses for the MBA program with a focus in health care. She will be finished with her graduate degree in May 2024.
