2 Kansans arrested on drug charges following investigation

LABETTE COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - Two people from Parsons, Kansas have been arrested after authorities allegedly found them to be in possession of fentanyl pills, cocaine, and more.
56-year-old Vincent S. Janssen Sr. was arrested on charges of:
- Two counts of possession of opiates with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property.
- Possession of cocaine.
- Possession of sale drug paraphernalia.
- Possession of use paraphernalia.
- Criminal possession of a firearm.
50-year-old Melissa L. Oja was arrested on charges of:
- Two counts of possession of opiates with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property.
- Possession of cocaine.
- Possession of sale drug paraphernalia.
- Possession of use paraphernalia.
- Criminal possession of a firearm.
At around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, officers conducted a traffic stop and executed a search warrant at 1720 Dirr Ave. in Parsons. Police say that they found pills believed to contain fentanyl at the home. They also found cocaine, methamphetamine, drug use paraphernalia, and drug sale paraphernalia.
Janssen Sr. and Oja were booked into the Labette County Jail. Formal charges are pending.
The investigation is ongoing.
