Greater Wichita YMCA holds retreat in support of cancer survivors

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Greater Wichita YMCA held its third annual Cancer Survivor Retreat today at the Wichita Boathouse.
The retreat brought together 80+ cancer survivors from the Wichita area and many more across the country via a YMCA360 live stream broadcast.
"We define cancer survivors as anyone living with, through, or beyond cancer," the organization said in a press release. "And events like this one provides the critical connections, emotional support, healing, and education they need to take back their independence and regain all that the disease has taken from them."
The event included speaking presentations, cooking demonstrations, and "Self-healing" sessions.
