Target’s car seat trade-in program returns this weekend
Looking to get rid of an old child car seat or are you ready to upgrade to a new size for your growing child? Target's bi-annual recycling event is April 16-29.
The event gives customers the opportunity to bring in their used car seats for 20% discount on car seats, strollers or baby gear, according to Target's website. Customers have until Oct. 8 to redeem their coupons.
Drop-off bins for the unwanted car seats will be placed near guest services inside participating Target stores. Customers can then scan signs placed near the drop-off boxes to redeem their coupons. Once you scan the code using the mobile Circle app, you'll get one coupon added to your account. The coupon is redeemable twice.
Coupons are good until May 13, 2023.
Since the program started in 2016, Target says it has recycled 2.19 million car seats and nearly 33 million pounds of car seat materials.
All stores with the exception of select small format stores will be taking part in the recycling event.
