Pittsburgh zoo celebrates the birth of a baby gorilla

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (KAKE) - A Pennsylvania zoo has shared an adorable video of an endangered gorilla caring for her new baby.
The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium released the first photo of the baby Western lowland gorilla last month. She was born to mother, Ibo, on Valentine's Day.
In a video posted on the zoo's Facebook page, Ibo is seen lovingly caring for baby Charlotte. The gorilla was named Charlotte after a contest.
"We are pleased to introduce Charlotte, our baby gorilla who you helped name! The name Charlotte, new to the gorilla species survival plan registry, was selected from almost 700 unique names submitted in our baby naming contest, which raised nearly $5,000 for animal care and Zoo upkeep," the zoo said on Facebook.
Ibo and Charlotte are Western Iowland gorillas, a critically endangered species.
