HARVEY COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The Harvey County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the identity of the human remains found in Harvey County on Monday.

The remains were that of Sasha Kosminski, of Newton. She was born on Aug. 24, 1984.

Kosminski’s identity was confirmed through the examination of dental records.

Her remains were discovered in a hedge row by a man near East First St. and North Rock Rd. this past Monday. 

Kosminski had been reported missing by their family in December 2020.

The cause of death will remain under investigation.
