BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. (KAKE) - A man and woman have been taken into custody after a traffic stop and search warrant were carried out by the KBI and Baxter Springs police. 

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said the search warrant and traffic stop were carried out at half past seven on Tuesday night at 400 Washington Ave. in Baxter Springs. Officers found pills they believe contained fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. 

Authorities say that 26-year-old Braydon Krokroskia and 22-year-old Brittany St. Clair were arrested at the scene and booked into the Cherokee County Jail.

Krokroskia was booked on charges of possession of opiates with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession and sale of drug paraphernalia. St. Clair was booked for possession of marijuana. Additional charges are expected, and formal charges are pending.
