WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - "I'm really excited, and I always have faith that they're gonna win," said K-State fan Ava Lofgreen.
Lofgreen has been a K-State fan her whole life, but with a chance for the team to be in the Elite 8, Thursday's game was one of the most nerve-racking she's ever watched.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime game, and it's good for them to get this far," said Lofgreen.
And she's not the only one. Fans of all ages, like Trae Jones and Lisa Higtle, filled the seats at Walk-On's in west Wichita to cheer on their Wildcats.
"Oh my gosh, it was packed. We had to get here a little bit early," said Jones.
"So excited for them. Yeah, I want them to keep going," said Higtle.
No matter how far the Cats end up making it, Lofgreen, Jones, and Higtle say they'll always be proud of how much the team has overcome this year.
"It's always love for K-State. We're always gonna love them and support them no matter what," said Lofgreen.
"We will still cheer them on for next year," said Jones.
"So proud of what they've done this year. Always loved the Wildcats, no matter what," said Higtle.
The Wildcats are on their way to the Elite 8. The next game will be on Saturday, March 25th.
