FORT RILEY, Kan. (KAKE) - One person was shot at Fort Riley Army base on Monday after a confrontation with guards.

Fort Riley said that just before noon, the Military Police were called to Trooper Gate where someone had driven up to the gate and got out of their vehicle. The suspect got into a confrontation with the guards, which ended with the suspect being shot.

The suspect receiving medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Army CID and the Fort Riley Military Police are investigating. No other information is being released at this time.
