WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Firefighters battled a fire that destroyed a large barn east of Derby early Friday morning.

Butler County Fire District 3 said on Facebook that it responded at around 2:15 a.m. to assist Sedgwick County firefighters at 7th Street South and Greenwich. 

The cause of the fire and a dollar estimate of the damage have not been released. It's unknow if any animals were harmed or killed in the fire.
