Woman gets nearly 8 years in connection to fatal shooting during drug deal in southeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - One woman is going to prison and a second is getting probation in the 2021 shooting death of a 19-year-old man in southeast Wichita.
Lanita Baugh was sentenced to nearly eight years in prison and Myrashia Griffin was sentenced to a year of probation.
The shooting happened last July near 31st and Hillside.
Police at the time said the two women and a man met 19-year-old Donovan Graves for a drug deal. Police said they were planning to steal the drugs.
Graves was shot during the robbery.
Griffin's probation sentencing has an underlying sentence of 12 months.
