WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Crime Stoppers of Wichita-Sedgwick County announces the 2023 March Badness Tournament, which will run for three weeks in March.

The tournament consists of eight contenders, all wanted felons with active Sedgwick County warrants. Each week, Wichita Police will solicit information from the public to locate them – once they’re arrested, they’re knocked out of the tournament and will not be eligible to advance for the next round. For round one, Crime Stoppers is offering a $100 reward for information that leads to the capture of any of these eight individuals.

The first round contestants are:

  1. Mikayla Wheeler, 21 years old, wanted for probation violation for aggravated assault; use of a deadly weapon, battery; physical contact in rude, insulting, angry manner and endangerment; recklessly expose to danger of great bodily harm.
  2. Michael Powers, 46 years old, wanted for probation violation for aggravated assault.
  3. Cesar Juarez-Martinez, 32 years old, wanted for probation violation for aggravated domestic battery.
  4. David Allen Puczylowski, 39 years old, wanted for possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, flee & elude, driving while suspended and vehicle unlawful acts.
  5. Elias T. Riojas, 27 years old, wanted for probation violation for burglary.
  6. Amy Loree Jaso, 48 years old, wanted for probation violation for making false information.
  7. Larry Scott Cheatham, 46 years old, wanted for probation violation for possession of opiate, flee and elude and possession of paraphernalia.
  8. Joshua Anthony Moniz, 43 years old, wanted for aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Anyone with information regarding the location of these fugitives, or any crime that occurred in Sedgwick County is eligible to receive a reward by submitting a tip through Crime Stoppers by calling 316-267-2111 or online at www.stopcrime316.com. Tipsters are always
anonymous – Crime Stoppers will never ask someone to identify themselves. If your information leads to an arrest in a felony case, you could be eligible to receive up to $2,500.
