EL DORADO, Kan. (KAKE) - El Dorado police are investigating a shooting that critically injured a 38-year-old woman early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded at around 1 a.m. to the report of a shooting in the 600 block of West Olive Avenue. Police Chief Mike Holton said they arrived to find a woman who had been shot. She was rushed to a Wichita hospital. 

Chief Holton said KBI agents and local investigators were interviewing witnesses and that there is no threat to the public. No arrests have been announced.
