Sedgwick County jail deputy arrested for computer crimes

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A Sedgwick County jail deputy has been arrested on felony computer crimes charges, the sheriff's office said Friday.
According to a release, Victor Garcia was booked on three counts: "knowingly exceeding the limits of authorization and damage, modify, alter, destroy, copy, disclose or take possession of a computer, computer system, computer network or any other property." Details of the alleged crimes were not released.
Garcia was booked Thursday and did not appear in the jail's current inmate log Friday morning.
Garcia began employment with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office in July of 2015. He's been suspended without pay.
