WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Property owners will see their appraisals in the mail next week and many of them are concerned about the increase being fair and accurate.  

Sedgwick County Appraiser Mark Clark said increased taxes result from government services like police, fire, parks, and schools.  

County Commissioner Jim Howell adds that a sales ratio study is also used to make determinations.  

Homeowner, Miles Pehde, said he feels the effects of increased taxes when he has to go over his personal budget to cover any additional.
