WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is investigating a hit-and-run injury collision that injured a pedestrian Tuesday night.

The incident happened in the 800 block of S. Oliver at approximately 8:28 pm. Officers responded to the scene and found a 44-year-old man who reported being struck by a red pickup truck while crossing Oliver. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Also, witness responded seeing a red Ford F150 traveling south on Oliver, hitting the pedestrian and then leaving the scene.

During the course of the investigation, WPD found both the suspect and the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing, with a case number of 23C009938.
