Kansas sheriff's office investigates theft of 150 hay bales

OLMITZ, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities in central Kansas are asking for the public's help after over $25,000 worth of hay was stolen from a field.
Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir said 150 large bales were stolen from a field near Olmitz sometime between late November and Tuesday, when the theft was reported.
A white tractor-trailer and a John Deere tractor were seen in the area prior to the theft, Bellendir said.
