Kansas man killed when small plane crashes in Oklahoma
HOOKER, Okla. (KAKE) - A 47-year-old southwest Kansas man has died after a small plane crashed in Oklahoma on Saturday.
It happened about 10 miles northwest of Hooker in Texas County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Victor Mendoza, of Liberal, died when the fixed-wing Cessna 172 went down at around 9:30 p.m.
There was no one else on the plane. The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
