Two men and their dog rescued after boat capsized in Cheney Lake

RENO COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The Hutchinson Fire Department and Reno County Fire rescued two men and their dog after their boat capsizes at Cheney Lake early Saturday morning.
Reno County Emergency Management said that shortly after 6 a.m. crews were dispatched to Cheney Lake after a boat capsized leaving two men and their dog in the ice-cold water. On the way to Cheney Lake, Reno County Fire requested a water rescue team from the Hutchinson Fire Department.
One of the men in the water called 911 and helped dispatch guide the water rescue team to the capsized boat. The firemen pulled both men and a dog out of the water and brought them safely to shore.
The men were treated by EMS and released with no reported injuries.
