Police K-9 accused of stealing coworker's lunch
WYANDOTTE, Mich. (KAKE) - A police K-9 has landed himself in the doghouse after being accused of stealing a coworker's lunch.
The Wyandotte Police Department in Michigan posted a mugshot of K-9 Ice. The tongue-in-cheek post says the "incident" happened at the station as an officer was eating lunch in the breakroom and was called to assist at the jail.
"He quickly jumped into service, leaving his half eaten lunch on the table," the department said. A short while later Barwig and another officer returned to the breakroom only to find Ofc. Ice leisurely strolling out of the room licking his chops. Barwig's entire lunch was gone....disappeared, vanished!"
The post says Officer Ice has invoked his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent and is not cooperating with the investigation.
"He has a history of rummaging through trash cans that are within his reach," the post says. "There have been several other accusations of him taking food right from coworker's hands as they walk by."
