Kansas man killed in semi-truck rollover crash

HIAWATHA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 24-year-old semi driver has died following a crash in northeast Kansas on Wednesday.
The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. in Brown County near the Nebraska state line. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the tractor-trailer was heading west on 330th Road when it went off the road to the right and went into a ditch. The rig then overturned and struck a culvert.
The driver, Cody Carson of Muscotah, Kansas, died at the scene. The patrol's online crash log states he was not wearing a seat belt.
It's unclear what caused the semi to leave the roadway.
