WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Benjamin Brady, who is accused of stealing an SUV with a young girl inside in north Wichita nearly two months ago, has been charged with kidnapping and theft after being extradited from Oklahoma.

Wichita police said the 6-year-old girl was in her father's SUV in a store parking lot near 21st and Amidon when Brady allegedly stole it at around 6:50 p.m. on November 20. The girl's father was in a store when she was taken. 

License plate reader technology revealed that the stolen SUV entered the Kansas Turnpike and headed south Members of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol located and stopped the vehicle about 22 miles south of the state line about an hour later. 

The girl was not hurt. 
 
Brady's bond was set at $150,000 bond.
