Local organizations celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy
Today the nation is remembering and honoring one of our country's greatest civil rights heroes, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ceremonies will be held across the country including here in Kansas.
This morning, Habitat for Humanity and Volunteer Kansas will team up for an MLK Day of Service. Together, they're building the walls of three safe, affordable homes inside Century II's Expo Hall beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Then at noon, Governor Laura Kelly expected to deliver remarks at The Greater Wichita Ministerial League's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration at WSU's Hughes Metroplex.
