Wichita driver who killed pedestrian pleads guilty to DUI, leaving the scene
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 30-year-old Wichita woman has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident in connection to the death of a pedestrian last year.
The Sedgwick County district attorney's office said Hayley Wilkinson pleaded guilty on Friday. She's scheduled to be sentenced on March 10.
The incident happened at around 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Police said previously that Wilkinson was driving on East Douglas near Edgemoor when she hit 44-year-old John Eyster.
Officers discovered Wilkinson driving erratically in the 100 block of South Woodlawn Ct.
