Woman arrested after Wichita man’s body found in Sumner County
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have made an arrest during their investigation of a dead person found in rural Sumner County. They believe that the crime is connected to an ongoing investigation in Wichita.
Tehya Kay Turner, 19, of Haysville has been arrested on charges of first degree murder, burglary and theft.
WPD officers have been actively searching for Turner and another person in connection to the recent dead body investigation and who they believe to be Brent Boone.

The Wichita Police Department is investigating a dead body found in rural Sumner County, which they believe is connected to an ongoing investigation in Wichita.
On November 29, officers were contacted by a 69-year-old man who reported 41-year-old Brent Boone, of Wichita, missing under unusual circumstances.
Police say that Boone was last seen on November 24 at 9:30 p.m. at his home in the 1300 block of N. Pershing before leaving in a car with 31-year-old Saul Chavez Valenciana and 19-year-old Tehya Turner, both of Wichita.
They believe that an altercation occurred inside the car which killed Boone.
On Wednesday, November 30, a follow-up investigation led officers to a crime scene in the 9300 block of S. Pattie in Haysville.
The car also was found abandoned on Dec. 1 near 21st and Ridge. Officers were then led to a rural area southwest of Clearwater, one mile west of N Clearwater Rd and 140th Ave N, where they located a body.
Police are working to confirm the body's identity, but at the time of writing this article, they believe it is Boone. They also believe that Boone knew Valenciana and Turner.
An investigation is ongoing.
