WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police say a man has been charged and booked into jail more than four months after the death of a 1-year-old boy.

Jordan Lien was booked Thursday night for first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation, according to Sedgwick County Jail records.

Police spokesperson Chad Ditch said the arrested was connected to the death of a child after an incident at the Heritage Inn at 4539 South Broadway on July 3. Police have not released the 1-year-old's name or a cause of death.

Officer Ditch said the case has been charged by the district attorney's office, which is closed Friday. Additional information will not be available until at Monday at the earliest.

Kansas Department of Corrections records show Lien is on probation for convictions of criminal damage to property, drug possession and criminal possession of a firearm.
