Kansas middle school teacher accused of sex crimes
SHAWNEE, Kan. (KAKE) - A 53-year-old northeast Kansas middle school teacher has been charged with multiple counts of unlawful sexual relations.
Keil Hileman was due in court Thursday to be arraigned on six counts. Johnson Count court records show the allegations against the Monticello Middle School teacher date back to 2017, 2018 and as recently as September.
The district removed Hileman from the school campus earlier this month and placed him on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
Hileman taught social studies and has been teaching with the district since 1994.
