A 7-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon sent several people to the hospital.

According to police working the accident, a vehicle was traveling at an excessive rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, before rear-ending another car near 143rd and Kellogg. A chain reaction resulted.

Three people were taken to the hospital, one with serious injuries. The area is now open to traffic.

Police are investigating the crash.
