Garden City police find almost 1,000 fentanyl laced oxycodone pills after traffic stop
GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities arrested three people on Friday after a traffic stop leads to police finding hundreds of counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and other drugs.
According to the Garden City Police Department, officers arrested 29-year-old Cheyenne McGahan, 53-year-old April Williams and 46-year-old Steven Calhoun after finding the counterfeit pills and other drug related items in their possession. This was enough to obtain a search warrant on Calhoun's house where officers found hundreds of the fentanyl laced pills along with methamphetamine and other drug related items.
In total, officers report that the seized:
- 991 counterfeit oxycodone pills that contain fentanyl.
- 38.1 grams of methamphetamine.
- 40 units of liquid methamphetamine/fentanyl.
- 22 units of fentanyl.
