HOUSTON, Texas (KAKE) -- Houston police are investigating a after a child drowned in a bathtub while taking a shower Saturday night. 

Emergency crews were called to the home on the city's southwest side around 10 p.m. Police said the child was taking a shower and was then found in the bathtub by the grandfather, who pulled him out and administered CPR.

The child was transported to Texas Children's hospital where he was pronounced dead, KTRK reports. The boy's name has not been released.
