SCOTT CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - The Kansas Highway Patrol says an 18-year-old driver was killed when his SUV went into a ditch and rolled in eastern Scott County on Saturday.

The accident happened at around 10:45 a.m. at Venison Road and County Road 160, which is about nine miles east of Scott City. The patrol reports Isaac Redburn was heading south when his vehicle entered the west ditch. He overcorrected, sending the SUV into the east ditch where it overturned an unknown number of times and struck and irrigation motor.

Redburn, of Haviland, died at the scene. KHP reports he was not wearing a seat belt.
