HARTFORD, Kan. (KAKE) - A 30-year-old Texas woman was killed when the utility terrain vehicle she was in crashed in Lyon County early Monday morning.

Emergency crews were called just before 6 a.m. to the report of an injury rollover crash in the 400 block of Road V, southwest of Harper. They arrived to find a Polaris UTV partially on the roadway on its passenger side.

The woman in the UTV, Chelsea Moore of Hunt, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office said. The other occupant, a 31-year-old man from Hartford, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

It's unclear who was driving the UTV. The sheriff's office said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
