Kansas firefighters, troopers to the rescue after truck hauling bees blows 2 tires
SOUTH HAVEN, Kan. (KAKE) - When a truck hauling honeybees from Oklahoma to North Dakota blew two tires in south-central Kansas, troopers and firefighters helped get them back on the road.
TJ Honey LLC, a beekeeping company in Enid, said Tuesday on Facebook that after blowing two tires, the South Haven Fire Department and Kansas Highway Patrol came to their rescue.
"Without fear, the FD kept our bees cooled off as we worked to fix our mishap," TJ Honey said in the post. "We appreciate the help of our first responders and might have lost a large amount of our bees if it weren’t for them."
South Haven is in Sumner County.
