WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – A 38-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were killed and two others suffered injuries after a motorcycle collided with a wrecked SUV early Saturday morning. Hours later, another man died in a crash in the same area.

THE FIRST ACCIDENT

The first crash happened at around 2 a.m. the the 6600 block of East Kellogg, near Armour. Initially, the 911 call reported that a single vehicle with two people inside had rolled over in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg. When officers arrived on scene, they learned that a second wreck involving a motorcycle had occurred just after the first crash.

Officers found the motorcycle driver, identified as Justin Cunningham of Andover, dead at the scene. Additionally, they found three other people who had sustained critical injuries. They were transported to area hospitals. Another person at the scene was found uninjured.

Officers learned that a silver SUV had been traveling eastbound on Kellogg with two people inside - a 48-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man - when the woman lost control of the vehicle and hit the concrete divider, causing the SUV to roll. A 19-year-old woman, Kaitlyn Greenman, was not involved saw the overturned SUV and started to help the people inside. Her family recently shared about her legacy and life of servitude.

As Greenman was rendering aid, the motorcycle, which was carrying two occupants, was also traveling eastbound on Kellogg. The motorcycle hit the 19-year-old and the SUV.

The passenger on the motorcycle, a 44-year-old woman, and the the driver of the SUV were transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Greenman suffered life-threatening injuries and died Monday morning.
